Reuben will be serving as an Associate Instructor of Vocal Pedagogy at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music for the 2014-2015 school year. He maintains an active private studio with students of all ages, leading solo and group lessons. An accomplished pianist, Reuben has also served as music director for youth theater productions as well as accompanist and vocal coach for numerous solo and choral performances.
Active in the field of voice research, Reuben is employed as a research assistant at Indiana University's Vocal Physiology and Modeling Laboratory where he works under Dr. Rita Patel. Past presentations at the SNATS New Voice Educators Symposium include Resonance Connections: Acoustic Influences on Phonation, (2014) and All Mixed Up: Comparing the Modal-Falsetto Transition in Male and Female Voices (2013). Current research includes the effects of humidity on voice measures, pediatric voice use, and registration.
